ALL INDIA CONSUMER RIGHTS COUNCIL AICRC is a dedicated, independent Consumer Advocacy wing of Antarrastriya Manvadhikar Sangh (AMS), functioning in the consumers’ interest, we interact with statutory and recommendatory s & forums constituted by the governmentand raise committee the problems of agrieved consumers and uphold the rights of the civil society.
We raise youth awareness and their active participation in issues of controlling corruption and improving transparency at the local government level through public awareness campaign and a series of meetings with youth in schools and Colleges.
We also engage in promoting transparent, incorrupt and effective management of public finances by local gov in municipalities.
The project aims to promote community needs in order to improve public services and communicate that politicians and bureaucrats should become more accountable to the public which would lead to better decision making.
Government decision making capacity should be improved through involvement of all relevant stakeholders in national and local public policy formulation and the implementation of policies should become more efficient.
As a part of educating the civil society, the All India Consumer Rights Council AICRC conducts seminars, debate, discussion and symposiums on various subjects and started celebrating world Consumers day every year on 15 March.
To raise awareness in the civil society, various competitions were conducted and prizes distributed to the winners.
Additionally, the All India Consumer Rights Council-AICRC honours persons, institutions and organizations for their outstanding service towards consumer community on an annual basis, Membership is open to Indian Citizens, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), andlike-minded Non-Govemment Organisations 0NGOs and institutions committed to the core values of AICRC Such NGOs and institutions must not have anything in their Constitutions/Aims and Objects in conflict with the Aims and Objects of Antarrastriya Manvadhikar Sangh (AMS) as given in the Memorandum of Association.
Individuals must be at least 18 years of age with academic, professional, commercial, administrative, social and/or development experience.
